im refering to the centers on lecanto hywy. only reason im giving this place any rating is because they finally got a therapist who is human and not a cold and cruel robot. very few people ive met that work there are worth talking to. been going there pretty much since 08. (off and on due to maltreatment. but have been actively going over 6 months.) most are cold mocking treat you like your crazy, delusional, a liar or just plain worthless. ignore you, judge/assume before knowing. but for the therapist id give 10 stars for the best therapist on earth. thank you for seeing that i am a human being who is suffering from all wounds, scars, mental emotional and physical pain, who just wants to be treated as a human being who is doing what they can to improve and heal. she is very encouraging, insightful, and overall a great person ^.^
I went to the emergency room and admitted myself because I was having suicidal thoughts I wound up at the centers the next day and I have to say but if anyone was depressed and contemplating suicide being at the centers and treated the way that I was treated while I was there would only make someone want to finish what they had contemplated. It was a jail like setting. Your treated horribly by staff once admitted. Intake people are quite nice but the staff once in clearly hate their jobs and take pleasure in degrading patients. Denying something as simple as ice to alleviate pain of a knee overdue for surgery. I witnessed a poor woman walk in urine covered clothes an entire day and when i pointed out that she needed help it went ignored. I was basically admitted and ignored until my fiance made a scene and was promptly discharged. do not send your loved ones here!!!!!! Unless you want to emotionally destroy them. Ill be a very long time recovering from this horrible place. They truly treat people like garbage until a family member steps in. My heart aches for those in there with noone to stand up for them. Please please help in any way you can. They need a voice
As a United Way Board member I am proud of the partnership that we have with The Centers. The Oasis residential program helps women with children. They help these women recover from addiction and help them still interact with their children. Recently I attended a graduation ceremony and was moved by these women and their transparency of their road to recovery. #allintogether #hope #inspirational
