Other than the water moccasins this place is a nice place to take the family or have a birthday party. I frequently come here to deliver supplies to the homeless people that hang out here.

A well maintained park with 150 year old Live Oak and Cypress trees shading most of the picnic area and playground. The boat ramps are smooth and long and easy to maneuver, with plenty of good parking. It is two blocks from the Withlacoochee rails to trails path and has no admission. Hernando lake, Parsons Point and Vanessa Lake are some of the hottest bass fishing spots around.

All visitors were very calm and nice. All were having do much fun

Side note:

Some of the homeless people there should be closely watched around your vehicle so lock up!

Not a bad little park. It is very small though Has a nice pavilion with bathrooms and a few picnic tables under the roof. Has more picnic tables located on the other side of the park. Nice view. Usually pretty quiet. Good place to stop and eat lunch. Not far off the bike path if you decide to rest and view the water. It's nothing spectacular but it's close and pretty to look at.

Love this lake ! We go there all the time to ride our jetskis
