My two sons have attended this school and we have made friends for a lifetime! Every year it has been exciting and through OPEN AND CONTINUAL COMMUNICATION through all parties we have all partnered together for the benefit of the students, my 2 boys. There has to be communication and a willingness to hear all sides when you are a parent. The teachers at Hernando (even new ones) have been very open to helping and teaming along with us. Anytime I have needed information, assistance, concerns (ANYTIME), I have been assisted and helped and my sons also. I would HIGHLY recommend this school. I sponsor it and support it as much as my work schedule has allowed. I would encourage any parent to volunteer, see face to face the daily challenges teachers and staff and students face, then see where you can help.
At the beginning of the school yr I had high hopes for my child, My son started Kindergarten there. He has a little bit of learning disability and not only was I promised at the beginning of the school year that they would help him threw speech therapy, tutoring, and intervention... the teacher herself promised to remove a child that continued to hurt my son, he is still in the same class today, they are failing my son this school yr and as i just browsed threw the schools fb pics I see my son sitting off as an outcast in every picture! I do not approve this school for my son any longer. when the parents asked for teachers with higher education we ment for them to become wiser at teaching not make it more difficult for the student!!! THIS SCHOOL SUCKS 110% FIND ANOTHER SCHOOL!!!
